So, after seeing Ginny’s post at “That’s Church” for 46 in 46, I donated and was happy to learn I was sending Esteven to school. =) But then I forwarded my thank you email to my school’s AVID coordinator (AVID is a college prep program that I ran for five years and now is in the competent hands of my friend Megan) to ask her if AVID wanted to take this on as a service project and try to raise more funds. Megan brought it before the AVID team who said “YES!” So from Oct 15th to Nov 2nd, the AVID students (grades 9-12) will be fundraising. =) Our school is attended by a lot of stundents from challenging backgrounds who definitely have financial troubles of their own, but if everyone around the school can donate a dollar or two, we should be able to help a few more kids.

I’m pretty excited and I can’t wait to get started!
